Experiences at IKTT
At the IKTT Village in Cambodia, surrounded by the country’s rich nature, you can tour our textile workshops and take part in hands-on dyeing sessions using natural dyes to create your own handkerchief. You can then take your finished handkerchief home as a special souvenir.
Experience traditional Cambodian Textile-making techniques, discover the beautiful colors extracted from trees and insect nests, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of life in the forest—a true glimpse into village life and craftsmanship.
Within the grounds, you’ll find mulberry farms, a silkworm house, and dye plants, allowing you to experience the natural cycle where people and nature live in harmony. A slow walk through the forest will surround you with a nostalgic, simple, and warm atmosphere.
Silk Dyeing Experience
Using Cambodian silk and traditional resist-dyeing techniques, you can create your own original handkerchief. This experience is available at both our Siem Reap Shop and IKTT Village.
Kiet (stitch-resist dyeing)
This is a handkerchief dyeing experience using a traditional Cambodian stitch-resist technique called “Kiet.” The fabric is stitched with thread, the thread is pulled tight, and the fabric is dyed. Finally, the stitches are removed to reveal the pattern.

On the workshop tour, you can see our artisans at work up close and learn about each step in the process of making a piece of textiles.

まずは約２０分間のIKTT紹介DVDをご覧いただき、その後、岩本が現場で日々感じていることや職人たちが受け継ぐ伝統の背景、そしてIKTTが目指す未来像についてお話しします。
全体で約１時間ほどのプログラムとなり、IKTTの活動の本質に触れていただける機会となります。

In addition to our workshops, you can take a relaxing walk around IKTT Village.
As you walk through the forest, you can discover various plants and trees used for natural dyes, and you may also encounter some of the animals that live here.
You can also see traditional Cambodian sericulture, our mulberry fields, compost house, and more.
Take your time and enjoy the rich natural environment and daily life of this textile village, created from the ground up by IKTT founder Kikuo Morimoto.
Please note that sericulture may not be available at certain times of the year. Please ask us when making your reservation.
